How we design our websites
Hot Lemon takes a holistic view of website design. It's one of the key aspects of our service that sets us apart from our competitors. Whilst we are more than happy to "just do the website", we are equally as happy getting involved in proposition development and strategy.
Working in partnership with our clients for effective web design
Our preferred way of designing a website is to get to know our clients, their market and their business before we put hand to mouse. We then we work with our clients to develop a website that works for them and their business.
Web design: Research
Hot Lemon will get to understand our client's business, their market, their target audience and what they want from a website in order to define a series of objectives, taking these objectives, we will then work with the client to agree, in broad brush terms, the most appropriate solution for their website - in terms of style, structure and content. This will be our brief.
Web design: Plan
Once we have agreement on the objectives and the basic structure of the website, Hot Lemon will develop a detailed fully costed and time-lined proposal which will be the working blue print for the website.
Web design: Design
On acceptance of the proposal, we will develop a series of website designs that meet the brief as outlined within the proposal. These can be amended / developed as many times as necessary until the client is happy
Web design: Build
Hot Lemon will then develop the website, including, if required, copy, branding, imagery and graphics. We will build the website to the latest web standards (including accessibility standards), and semantically code the site to be search engine friendly.
Web design: Optimise
Having developed the website, we will work closely with the client to ensure that the site meets their requirements, and that the site is optimised from the ground up with their objectives. We will then test the website (and test again), and then publish the site.
